Turkish Cardamom Iced Coffee

Ingredients

  • 60 ml (2 fl oz) milk
  • 60 ml (2 fl oz) cream
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 3 cardamom pods
  • 60 ml (2 fl oz) espresso or coffee
  • a few ice cubes

Method

  1. Brew the coffee in any preferred way.
  2. Pour the milk into a cezve.
  3. Add the cream, sugar, and cardamom.
  4. Stir and bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool.
  7. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve into a small jug.
  8. Add the coffee to the mixture and let it cool for 20 minutes.
  9. Fill a glass with ice.
  10. Pour the coffee mixture over the ice.
