Banana Iced Coffee

The cold beverage perfectly combines the flavours of banana, cardamom, vanilla, milk chocolate, and coffee. Almond milk gives it lightness and softens the taste, while the pulp of the ripe fruit provides satiation. It can be used as an invigorating alternative to a milkshake or smoothie. It’s suitable for vegetarians.

a pinch of ground cardamom

vanilla extract

unsweetened Almond milk

Method
  1. Brew the espresso/coffee in any preferred way.Allow to cool.
  2. Peel the banana and cut it.
  3. Purée the banana, sugar, cardamom milk and vanilla extract in a blender. Whisk until smooth and airy.
  4. Pour the mixture into a glass.
  5. Freeze the banana mixture about an hour or until almost solid.
  6. Add the coffee.
  7. Garnish with grated chocolate or cocoa.
