Frutochino grapefruit

A simple and original version of coffee with citrus. The refreshing grapefruit notes complement the coffee aroma, and the slight, pleasant bitterness is balanced out by the sugar syrup. The drink can be made cold or hot as desired.

Ingredients

  • 30 ml (1 fl oz) Espresso or coffee
  • 20 ml (2/3 fl oz) Sugar syrup
  • 80 ml (2 and 2/3 fl oz) Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice

Method

  1. Brew the espresso or coffee in any preferred way.
  2. Squeeze the juice out of a grapefruit.
  3. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour in the syrup and grapefruit juice.
  5. Add coffee.
  6. Decorate with a grapefruit slice.
